About Paula Sheldon
Paula started out with a MS in Geography and her first career was as an environmental planner and consultant. She left that work to become a stay at home mom for 17 years, raising her two sons to adulthood, one of which had Tourette's Syndrome (TS). During that time, she developed CFS and serious digestive problems with no apparent cause. She searched for alternative methods of healing for herself and for her son after no success with the traditional route of prescribed medications that only treated symptoms and not the cause of their illnesses. Her search for answers led her to alternative healing and today she no longer has CFS nor digestive issues and her son no longer displays symptoms of TS. She wanted to share what she learned with others and this is what led Paula to her next career.
Paula began her career as a vibrational healer in 2005. She is a certified Usui Reiki Master and has helped attune over 200 Reiki practitioners and Reiki masters. She is also certified in Quantum Touch and has worked with many vibrational and energy healing modalities including EMF, the Lumalight Color Therapy system, crystal healing, sound therapy, aromatherapy, Jin Shin Jitsu, and Biopulsar aura readings. Paula is now a nationally certified and state licensed massage therapist. She obtained this license solely for the purpose of being able to lay hands on the client for energy healing. She graduated from the Bhakti Academe of Intuitive Healing and Massage in 2006 and is certified in Bhakti Energy Work. This intensive program demands over 500 hours of study and hands on practice as well as state board exams before a license is granted. She is also certified by ABMP as a Massage and Bodywork Therapist and takes continuing education courses in all forms of vibrational healing.
Paula considers herself a Christian with a Catholic upbringing, but incorporates a non-denominational approach to her spirituality and healing work. As such, she often calls on assistance from angels and Reiki healing guides while performing healing sessions.
Paula also studies and utilizes medical astrology in her practice, if requested. Understanding a client's birth chart and the planetary energies present at birth give great insight into the psyche and therefore emotional causes behind the physical symptoms a person is experiencing. Addressing these emotional issues help ensure that physical problems do not keep expressing. The natal chart can also help to identify physical weaknesses present for a particular client and those therapies most able to assist the body in healing itself.
